HMS was delighted to meet over 40 local and regional contracting firms at its first Contractor Recruitment Day, which took place on Tuesday 20th June.
The event focused on engaging and developing new business relationships with both established and emerging contractors from across the North West, to support HMS’ fast-growing construction and refurbishment workload.
Commercial Director Francis Eades explained, “As a business, we directly employ over 300 highly trained members of staff, and the talent we have in our ranks is something we are very proud of."
“We also believe that behind every great principal contractor is a supply chain of equally talented specialist sub-contractors. Contractor Recruitment Days enable us to source the best contractors and suppliers out there, and establish new partnerships to meet growing business demand.”
This key objective means identifying contractors with aligned business values and a willingness to adopt a partnership approach.
“It was great to see a wide range of experience and specialism on the day,” Francis said. “We would like to thank everyone who came to see us and look forward to working with our new supply chain partners going forward.”
HMS is now planning to hold Contractor Recruitment Days every six months. The next event has been provisionally scheduled to take place in February 2018.
