A kids’ football academy in West Derby is giving local children the chance to learn new skills in a professional, safe environment, thanks to a £1,500 grant from HMS.
Working with both boys and girls between the ages of three and 11, Bellefield Academy uses football as a fun forum to give children extra confidence, co-ordination, control and improved health and wellbeing, though managed training and games.
HMS sponsorship is supporting a brand-new football league, which will run throughout the 2017/18 season, as well as cover the cost of new football kits and ground fees.
It’s all part of the company’s wider Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy, which offers much-needed support to meaningful local initiatives across Liverpool and beyond.
The strategy sees 100% of profits made reinvested into important social projects, including several children’s sports initiatives. From football teams to a dance troupe, HMS has been delighted to give children the opportunity to reach their sporting potential.
Paul Worthington, Managing Director of HMS, said, “The sponsorship of Bellefield Academy is a wonderful example of how our proactive CSR approach can help parts of the community that otherwise may struggle to find funding.
“As soon as we heard from Bellefield Academy we backed the initiative wholeheartedly and we are excited to provide support for the entire 2017/2018 season.”
