North West construction and maintenance firm HMS has been appointed to the Knowsley Disabled Adaptations Framework, helping to deliver major adaptations in residents’ own homes.
The four-year framework is designed to improve facilities and access for disabled people with sensory and mobility loss in both privately owned and rental properties across the Borough of Knowsley - helping people stay independent at home.
Works have already started on a range of major improvement works for Knowsley Council, initially comprising three home extension projects to provide ground-floor shower rooms for people with limited mobility.
HMS has extensive experience in major and minor home adaptations, working in partnership with clients including Liverpool Mutual Homes and Home Assistance Hub/Cheshire West & Chester Council. The company delivers hundreds of major adaptations per year for vulnerable or disabled customers.
This successful track record played a major part in the firm’s appointment to the new Framework.
HMS Managing Director said, “We are delighted to secure a place on the Disabled Adaptations Framework, which is all about delivering major improvement works to support customers across Knowsley.
“The past 12 months has been a period of exciting growth and diversification for HMS. This latest appointment confirms that we have the skills and expertise to provide first-class adaptations services to clients operating in the housing rental and ownership sectors.”
