North West construction and maintenance specialist HMS has secured a place on the latest phase of JV North’s four-year contractors’ and consultants’ framework.
Earlier this year, the consortium of Housing Associations announced it would invest £335.5 million by 2021 to build nearly 3,000 homes under the HCA’s Shared Ownership Affordable Homes Programme.
For the second stage of the framework, valued at £180 million, approved contractors will tender for contracts worth less than £1 million using a Dynamic Purchasing System.
HMS’ bid was based on its proven construction and maintenance track record for social landlords, which include JV North member Liverpool Mutual Homes and South Liverpool’s Steve Biko Housing Association.
HMS Commercial Director Francis Eades said, “We are delighted to secure a place on this extensive new framework and to be able to tender for a significant amount of home building schemes happening across the North West.
“HMS looks forward to successful partnership working with JV North members, building on our experience in new-build, refurbishment, disabled adaptations, supported housing and fire safety works.”
