Responsive maintenance

Reactive maintenance delivered 24hrs a day will be the cornerstone of the service delivered by HMS. LMH ordered over 50,000 responsive repairs in 2009/10 and is forecasted to do the same in 2010/11. These works range from emergency repairs requiring attendance within two hours to routine repairs where a fixed appointment is made with the customer within a target of 20 days.

Responsive repairs will cover the full spectrum of operational trades including Roofing, Plumbing, Electrical repairs, Joinery and Plastering. The team undertaking these works will need to be suitably trained and skilled in general maintenance activities adopting a 'Right First Time' philosophy; delivered by a multi-skilled workforce and thereby avoiding repeat visits.

LMH’s Repair and Maintenance contract details specific operational targets that have been set by customers and these will inform HMS’s business processes with the aim of achieving the contract targets.
