Movember

The Gas Team at HMS were responsible for encouraging a number of the guys to take part in Movember. The team sported a variety of styles, shapes and colours and was the subject of much hilarity at head office.

Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men's faces in the UK and around the world through the month of November. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Between them the team raised £700 for this worthwhile charity - well done to everyone who took part.

The HMS team took part in the 2012 Liverpool Santa Dash on Sunday 2nd December raising money for a number of charities through 'Text Santa'.

Around 8,000 Santas converged on Liverpool city centre with everyone congregating at the Pier Head. All the team attended in full costume, with the exception of those in the team whose costume had been shrunk by the elves!

It was a great event with some real festive team spirit, for a great cause. Well done everyone!

HMS and LMH launch new service

Following requests from customers and stakeholders, HMS has developed a new Handy Person Service.

Although the service is available to all residents of the city it is mainly aimed at the older and more vulnerable residents.  Unfortunately we could not offer a free service but we have kept costs as low as possible for older and vulnerable LMH tenants and leaseholders.

The initial pilot service will operate for twelve months to assess demand and the detailed services customers are looking for.  It is HMS's intention to launch a gardening service in 2013 that will complement the general repairs provided by the handy person.

If you are interested please contact 0151 235 2526 and a member of the team will assist you.
